Stacy Bohl of Iowa State Bank, Ruthven, successfully completed the 2021 Iowa Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School held October 4-8 in Ankeny, Iowa.

The school is an intense one-week program sponsored by the Iowa Bankers Association. The purpose of the IBA Commercial Lending School is to prepare commercial lenders who have not been exposed to formal commercial lending education or lenders who want to broaden their commercial lending knowledge to serve effectively and profitably as commercial loan officers. This is accomplished by developing a better understanding of the economy and how it affects the lending decision. Students develop an understanding of how a business is structured and how it competes, along with understanding the role of a company’s management and how to analyze and evaluate that management. Lenders develop a thorough knowledge of basic and advanced analytical techniques while working to meet multiple customer financial needs.

Bohl serves as a loan officer at Iowa State Bank in Ruthven since 2019. She works with customers on residential real estate loans and commercial loans. Iowa State Bank is a $400 million community bank located in north-central Iowa with offices in Algona, Corwith, Ruthven and Wesley.
